Being the parent of a newborn is both wondrous and challenging – and anything that makes those first months go more smoothly is likely to be a bit hit with tired-out mums and dads.
If your baby is bottle-feeding, chances are you’re feeling a bit weary of the constant process of bottle sterilisation, or wondering how to encourage your bub to latch naturally onto a bottle teat.
For well-known baby bottle brand Tommee Tippee, it’s been a 60-year-long quest to craft bottles that are as close as you can get to having your baby on your breast.

The brand recently released a new self-sterilising bottle range, with all bottle teats made from soft silicone and featuring a special breast-like shape.
On sale at 30 per cent off until July 31, the Self Sterilising Natural Start and Advanced Anti-Colic bottles encourage a natural latch, meaning baby can bottle feed at their own pace.
Parents are raving about the product online, calling the bottles ‘’amazing’’.
‘’After switching from breastfeeding to formula, we started using these bottles and they are the only ones bub liked,’’ one customer wrote in an online review.

‘’They are easy to clean, take apart and put together, and great value for money.
‘’The water level mark has stayed on the bottle perfectly despite being consistently washed, which is amazing.’’
‘’Great quality, wash well and never leak,’’ wrote another.
‘’Highly recommend and have used from newborn.’’
The bottles are BPA-free and can be self-sterilised in the microwave in just three minutes so parents can feed baby fast.

Equally important, they’re 100 per cent leakproof, even when upside down.
That is a feat in itself, as anyone throwing their formula-stained jumpers into the wash every week will know (not to mention mopping up the floor drips).
‘’I liked the larger teat, which was much more like a breast than other bottles I’d seen,’’ one mum wrote after trying out the Tommee Tippee bottles for the first time.
‘’Its shape is also comfortable for parents to hold and feed.
‘’After trying out two other bottles and hating them, my baby loved these bottles!’’ enthused another shopper.
‘’Very happy with these.
‘’I think it’s because the (teats) are so round and large that they do actually represent the real thing, so it was much easier for him.
‘’It’s amazing how much better my baby responded to these bottles vs the other brands we tried.’’
