Designed to treat dull skin and fine lines, the serum contains a snail secretion filtrate that works at repairing damaged skin, improving skin elasticity and maintaining hydration levels.
The serum, which normally retails for $17, is designed to be used after cleansing and toning – you simply pat it all over your face using your fingertips after completing the previous two steps.
Five-star reviews
Online, the serum regularly receives five-star reviews, even from shoppers initially hesitant at the idea of applying a product that contains snail mucus to their skin.
‘’This product is absolutely wonderful,’’ one shopper wrote. ‘’It is great before skin prep and before makeup … Has improved my skin texture and overall feel so quickly and so effectively.
‘’This product makes you skin glowy and bouncy and overall dewy.’’

Said another: ‘’I love this non-greasy essence, which delivers on its promises. I have extremely sensitive skin prone to red, itchy blotches on my face and after using the product for just a few days my skin is vastly improved.’’
‘’OMG! This is the bomb,’’ wrote a third.
‘’It does magic on your skin! My skins has become smoother and glowing since I started using this.’’
If the presence of snail mucus in the serum is freaking you out a little, there are some other things about the product likely to tip you in its favour.
Snails aren’t harmed
For a start, the serum contains no parabens (chemical preservatives) and is not tested on animals (according to its website, ‘’snail mucin is obtained in a safe way, in the favourite environment of snails.’’)
Secondly, shoppers of all age ranges say the serum works.
‘’This product has worked great throughout all my skin stages,’’ one customer wrote.
‘’At every stage it has absorbed into my skin well and left it feeling hydrated, but not drenched.
‘’I also love the fact that it doesn’t really have a scent, which is a major plus for us scent sensitive people.’’
