When did Taylor Swift announce The Life of a Showgirl?

It all started on August 11, 2025 (AEST), when Taylor Nation posted 12 images of her wearing orange (the long rumoured colour of TS12) with the caption, “Thinking about when she said “See you next era…” ❤️‍?.”

Hours later, New Heights – Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast – confirmed Taylor would guest star in an episode set to be released on August 14, 2025 (AEST).

Then Swifties noticed Taylor’s official site had been changed to a countdown clock with an orange background.

When the countdown ended at 2.12pm on August 11 (AEST), Swifties could pre-order a vinyl, cassette and CD with the cover mysteriously blurred out but titled The Life of a Showgirl.
