Chester Charles Bennington was the frontman of Linkin Park.

He joined the band – first formed in 1996 by Rob Bourdon, Mike Shinoda, and Brad Delson – in 1999.

Sadly, on July 20, 2017, he was found dead at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California.

Following Chester’s passing, Linkin Park went on a seven-year hiatus.

During this time, founding member and drummer Rob (understandably) decided to leave the band.

In 2024, Linkin Park re-emerged and announced new band members: lead vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain.

Founding members Mike and Brad are still a part of the lineup.
