It’s set in 1868 and delves into the aftermath of Sir Benjamin Guinness’s sudden death, which leaves his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Benjamin Jr., navigating their inheritance and the future of the iconic brewing empire.

While the series draws inspiration from the real-life Guinness family, it blends historical events with obvious dramatised elements to create a gripping narrative.

Who is in the cast of House of Guinness?

The cast of House of Guinness brings together some incredible actors to tell the story of the Guinness family.

Anthony Boyle stars as Arthur Guinness (Tolkien and Masters of the Air), and Louis Partridge (aka Olivia Rodrigo’s boyfriend) plays his brother Edward Guinness (Enola Holmes, Pistol, and Disclaimer).

Emily Fairn plays the sister, Anne Guinness (The Responder) and Fionn O’Shea plays Benjamin II Guinness (Dating Amber).

James Norton (Happy Valley and Grantchester) stars as Bonnie Champion, who is the local loan shark to whom Benjamin Guinness owes a debt.
