On world mental health day, Reese Witherspoon’s lookalike daughter Ava Phillippe, got vulnerable about her own mental health struggles in a video uploaded to Instagram.
She shared that her work with “amazing mental health professionals and therapists that truly changed my life,” inspired her to want to become a therapist at one stage.
Now, she has partnered with the Kids Mental Health Foundation for their Take Five campaign.
“We should all take time to check in on those most important to us,” she added, “and how they’re feeling, especially though, the people who are a little earlier on in their journey.”
“Make sure you’re hearing what the child in your life has to tell you,” she urged.
Proud mother, Witherspoon, showed her support in the comments writing, “Beautifully said”.
This isn’t the first time that Phillippe has been open about her mental health journey. In 2023 she told followers in an Instagram Q&A, “I’ve dealt with anxiety for as long as I can remember.”
“It was especially intense for me as a kid & teenager,” she added.
Offering some advice, she told her followers, “Don’t invalidate your feelings.”
“You have every right to feel however you do, even if it seems weird to others, & being hard on yourself won’t help you feel better or find a solution,” she said.

Aside from working with Kids Mental Health, Ava Phillippe has been modelling since 2018.
She attended Paris Fashion Week in 2024, watching shows such as Balmain and Dior and posed for some gorgeous pictures for Dior Beauty.
