On September 4, Kate debuted her gorgeous new bronde locks.

Kate showed off the beautiful new hue while visiting to London’s Natural History Museum with husband Prince William.

The lighter look is quite the departure from her usual darker locks.

Bronde is a shade that blends brunette and blonde to create a natural, sun-kissed and low-maintenance look with a dimensional finish.

November 2010

Announcing her engagement to Prince WIlliam at Buckingham Palace, Kate showed off dark new chocloate locks and a Chelsea blow dry from Richard Ward Salon and Metro Spa which quickly became their most requested service.

November 2012

Kate’s curtain bangs made headlines a year after her wedding when she showed off her new 70s-style do at the Natural History Museum.

But even bigger news was about to knock her do off the front pages when it was revealed days later that the then Duchess of Cambridge was expecting her first child.

Since then, many royal watchers believe that Kate changes up her hair everytime she wants to distract from something else.

November 2013

Kate ditched her regular Chelsea blow dry for ringlets on Remembrance Sunday.

She wore the look while watch a wreath laying ceremony at the Cenotaph on Whitehall.

Her curls were under a hat from Lock & Co which added a sense of formality to the occasion

December 2015

With two kids at home under the age of 3, Kate was definitely in her mum era.

So she needed an easy and no-nonsense hairdo that would get her quickly out the door.

She showed off her shorter, straighter, layered do while attending the Anna Freud Centre Family School Christmas Party at Anna Freud Centre in London.

April 2016

Kate had undergone a significant chop for her and Prince WIlliam’s tour to Bhutan and Africa.

She wore her hair in bouncy curls for the duration of the visit.

Losing a few centimetres no doubt helped her stay polished while dealing with local humidity on the trip.

July 2017

When her iconic long locks got the chop for Wimbledon, the pregnancy rumour mill went into overdrive.

Royal watchers saw their theory that Kate uses changes in her do to distract when it was announced just weeks later she was expecting her third child.

While meeting with frontline staff during a visit to not-for-profit youth intervention charity Streets of Growth in London Kate showed off another gorgeous new do.  

Kate was very on-trend when she opted for a ‘butterfly cut’ in 2023.

The style is characterised by plenty of face-framing layers.
